The USC Global Health Case Competition brings together teams of students from all disciplines to tackle a critical global health challenge. Fourteen days after receiving the case, students must propose realistic, innovative solutions to a panel of expert judges who pick three teams to present in the final round. The winning team receives guidance from faculty at the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health before representing USC at the International Global Health Case Competition at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

The competition at USC began in 2012 with a case challenge developed with the International Medical Corps. Today, the annual event is a popular campus-bridging fixture at USC. Known for being as fun as it is educational, the case competition offers students the chance to apply their skills and interests to real-world situations and fosters opportunities for networking and friendship.
