The competition brings together top MBA students from across Canada to design real-world solutions to a defining national challenge, promoting bold thinking and strategic leadership for a stronger, more competitive Canada.

Overview
Hosted by Smith School of Business at Queen's University, this is a national, in-person MBA case competition that brings together top MBA students from business schools across Canada to tackle one defining national challenge each year under the theme 'Forging Canada's Future, One Idea at a Time.'
Participants
- Open to MBA students from Canadian business schools
- 2025 edition featured 14 teams from schools including Rotman, Smith, Ivey, DeGroote, McGill, Schulich and Telfer
Format
- In-person event held over 1 day, with 2 rounds
- Teams are divided into groups; each team presents for 15 minutes followed by 15 minutes of Q&A
- The top team from each group advances to the final round
Case Theme
- Each year explores a key national issue (e.g. economic growth, national competitiveness, healthcare, social cohesion, talent retention)
- The 2025 case focused on developing a long-term national strategy for the Canadian Arctic
- The 2026 case will focus on a major national infrastructure challenge within Canada's trade corridor network
Eligible Schools
Open to MBA students currently attending a Canadian Business School.
