Objective

The CoreNet Global Academic Challenge invites student teams to act as an internal corporate real estate team and develop a strategic solution to a real-world corporate real estate issue, with the goal of raising awareness of corporate real estate as a career path and building a talent pipeline for the profession.

Description

Overview
The CoreNet Global Academic Challenge is an annual global competition run by CoreNet Global, the leading membership association for corporate real estate (CRE) professionals. Student teams play the role of an internal corporate real estate team and propose a strategic solution to a real-world issue facing global companies, such as closing the gap between the speed of business and the speed of real estate.

Eligibility and Team Composition
- Open to all students (undergraduate/graduate, full-time/part-time) currently registered at a recognized university
- Teams of a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) students
- Members may come from different academic programs or different institutions
- Each team must have a faculty advisor and a designated Team Leader as main point of contact

Format
- Teams register and receive a corporate profile/brief to develop their strategic response
- Round One submissions (written response, exhibits, and/or multimedia presentation) are judged by a panel of CRE professionals
- Top-ranked teams advance to a live Final Round, presenting to judges and an audience at a CoreNet Global Summit

Notable Details
- All-expenses-paid travel is generally provided to finalist teams for the Summit
- Open to students of all academic disciplines (architecture, business, engineering, finance, and more)
