ASCM CASE COMPETITION

The 2021 ASCM Case Competition is provided by ASCM in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting LLP. Participating teams will present solutions to an exciting end-to-end supply chain management problem, as they compete for prize money and recognition. The case may involve distribution, logistics, sales and operations planning, inventory, and other operations management challenges.

ASCM is committed to the advancement of supply chain students and is in the process of reevaluating and refining our entire student program. Therefore, we regret to inform you that the 2022 ASCM Case Competition has been postponed. We want to emphasize that the future of supply chain is a high priority, and all of us at ASCM are dedicated to providing students with engaging, interactive and thought-provoking experiences.



ASCM is proud of a rich tradition of student team case competitions. The program began as a grassroots event, with many APICS chapters, colleges and universities taking part. Over the years, the Case Competition has evolved into a flagship event touching students at universities across Africa, Asia, Europe, and both North and South America.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
College or university students, at the undergraduate or graduate student level, aged 18 or over.
All team members must be current ASCM Student Members. ASCM Student membership is free. Become a Student Member.
Each team must have 4 members at registration. Any mix of graduate or undergraduate students is allowed on each team.
Each school may have an unlimited number of teams registered to participate in the college/university round, however, only two winning teams per college/university may advance to the qualifying round.
Although business and engineering programs are the most common participants, faculty and students from any discipline interested in supply chain management are welcome.

Since 2017, the annual Case Competition has been provided in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting LLP.

SCHEDULE
Registration for the 2021 Case Competition will open on August 1

New deadline: October 6, 2020 – College/university round case is released
November 2, 2020 – Due date for teams to submit first round entries
November 3-15, 2020 – Period for schools to evaluate all first-round entries and notify ASCM of up to two advancing teams.Schools with only one to two teams will automatically advance to the qualifying round.
November 16-30, 2020 – Period for virtual qualifying round.
Mid December 2020 – Top college/university round winners announced and invited to qualifying round.
Mid February 2021 – Regional rounds to be held virtually.
October 24-26, 2021 – Final competition to be held virtually.

Prize
$5,000: Total prize money pool for the first, second, and third-place student team winners in the final round.
$2,500: Total prize money pool for the departments/schools of the first, second, and third-place winners in the final round.
