2. What data we process and for what purposes
We collect the following data as part of your participation in CareerDay:
• Last Name, first name
• E-mail address
• Phone number (optional)
• Choice of business school
• Choice of the program
• Graduation month and year

We need this data so that you can participate in CareerDay 2024 and we can assign you to the programs and sessions. If you do not provide us with this data, participation in CareerDay is not possible.

We will also use your e-mail address to contact you if, for example, technical or organizational problems should arise in the course of the CareerDay and we would like to/need to inform you of these.

Your mobile number, if provided (not required), is used to send you a reminder by SMS before a live session starts. We will not use your mobile number for any other purpose. We only process data that we collect for the purposes for which it was collected. Processing for other purposes is only considered if the legal requirements of Art. 6 (4) GDPR are met.

3. Special notes on the function of the platform
3.1 Data Access
The Frankfurt School gGmbH has access to your data shared by you on the platform.

3.2 Visibility
Your first and last name will be visible to other participants during the sessions.

If you enable visibility in your account, your profile and the data you uploaded on your account, e.g. CV etc., will be visible among employers when you apply to their jobs, sign-up to their sessions, submit questions, and/or put their companies on your radar.

3.3 Career Profiles You can upload your CV and enter your career profile on the platform. When you do, you can chose who can see that information:
- "No one" - your CV and career profile are kept private and no third party can see them (except you and us)
- "Only eligible employers" - your CV and career profile are searchable and viewable by recruiters.
Note that the more complete your profile is, the more visible you will be, and hence the more likely you will be contacted.

3.4 Profile Access
After the event you can continue using this account on www.careernomics.com, operated by Internet Exchange SA, for six weeks and enjoy our services, or, if you prefer, you can contact Internet Exchange SA any time to delete your account and all your data.

4. Legal basis
The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 GDPR.

We process your participation data on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a) GDPR for the implementation of the CareerDay. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. You can find more information on this under section 7 "Your rights".

The provision of optional data on a voluntary basis, such as your telephone number, is based on your consent Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR, in order to contact you via SMS to remind you of a session.

You are under no contractual or legal obligation to provide us with your data. However, if you do not provide complete participant data, you will not be able to participate in CareerDay.

5. How long the data will be stored
We process your personal data as long as it is necessary for the purpose. This means that after the end of the CareerDay, all personal data will be deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled, unless there are legal retention obligations or other purposes that prevent deletion.

6. To which recipients the data will be forwarded
We share your data with third parties on the basis of an order processing relationship.
Participant data will be processed by the following third parties:

7. Where the data is processed
Your data is processed exclusively in data centers in Europe.

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability. If processing is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke it with effect for the future.

8.2 Rights in case of data processing according to the legitimate interest
Pursuant to Article 21 (1) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) (e) GDPR (data processing in the public interest) or on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (data processing for the purposes of safeguarding a legitimate interest). In the event of your objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

8.3 Right to complain to a supervisory authority
You also have the right to complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data.
