Diversity and inclusion

We embrace, recognise and respect diversity every day in our relationships with
a customer base that reaches across continents, oceans and seas to include people
from every part of the world. That diversity is mirrored in an equally diverse workforce
that reflects, understands and engages with the local customer-base, wherever
  it might be.

Talented Women

An e-mail alias:
For women (and men) to informally network with other colleagues, sharing information about conferences, news, or stories that are relevant to working at Microsoft.

International Women Mentoring Ring:
We are currently testing various mentoring programmes across the region.

These are overseen by female mentors at Microsoft who are qualified to offer support and advice to female colleagues via regular phone sessions. These are used to network and share ideas, helping each other in their career paths and personal development.

Women in IT:
Women in IT sessions run numerous events to bring women (and men) together for discussions, information, and experience sharing. At each event, key speakers address diversity from different perspectives. From work/life balance issues to career development and topics such as being a woman in a male dominated industry.

Flexibility

We support flexible hours and the option to work from home. We also provide the tools to support different work styles, and tailor each employee’s work/life balance to meet individual needs. We are constantly striving to improve our approach and have launched several initiatives across the region.

Part-time policy supports a work/life balance for the employee and enables parents to return to work after an agreed period of time on a part-time basis after maternity or parental leave.

Job-sharing policy means Microsoft can hire two qualified employees to share the duties and responsibilities of one full-time job.

Both these policies are implemented throughout the whole region and bring about consistency to all employees while taking local legislation into consideration.

Equality

Disability/accessibility in International ensures Microsoft is a fair and accessible company for potential and existing employees, regardless of disabilities.
