About ING

Global Risk

You know that analysis is the key to spotting opportunities and avoiding surprises. But you also know when to go with your intuition. You’re commercially minded and an outstanding tactical thinker. And you can persuade others round to your point of view.

If this sounds like you, then we have an opportunity you won’t want to miss: ING’s Global Risk Talent Programme – a three-year traineeship for one of the most exciting careers in finance – risk professional at ING.

The essence of risk management

ING’s risk management specialists identify, measure and assess the likelihood of certain events happening (everything from the everyday to the unthinkable), their potential impact should they happen – and devise ways to manage them.

There are many ways to do so. These include accepting the risk, preventing the risk arising, transferring the risk to someone else, taking action to reduce the potential impact of the risk, or deciding that something is simply not worth the risk at all. Now imagine that the opportunity in question runs into tens of millions of euros, and the opportunities, and the risks a similarly large: the decision you make will have enormous consequences.

The essence of the risk professional

The people we are looking for are graduates in economics, business administration, econometrics, actuary, physics, chemistry or astronomy.

But beyond this, we’re looking for people who see opportunities wherever they look. Who are great communicators. Who are proactive. Who want to be part of an international and internationally minded team. And who believe in doing well by doing the right thing by our customers, our stakeholders and each other.

In return, we can offer you the opportunity to play a key role at one of the world’s leading banking, insurance and asset management specialists.
